Job Time: Understanding the Job Time Log

Read the Job Time Log: your timer, summary boxes, every team member's time, and each entry's timeline.

The Job Time Log tab shows all the time your team has logged on one job, person by person.

The Timer

At the top, Time on this job shows the running timer, with Pause and End time buttons while the timer is going.

The Summary Boxes

  • Total job time: All the active time logged on this job.

  • Paused: All the time spent paused.

  • Team members: How many people have logged time.

The Table

  • Team member: Who logged the time. Click the filter icon to find one person.

  • Date: The day the time was logged.

  • Start: When they started.

  • End: When they ended. It shows Running or Paused if their timer is still going.

  • Paused: How long they were paused.

  • Job time: Their active time on the job.

Click the arrow at the end of a row to open the full timeline for that entry. Click the pencil to correct it (see Job Time: Correcting a Time Entry).

The Timeline for One Entry

Opening a row shows every step in order, with how long they worked or paused in between:

  • 8:00 AM: Started job

  • 9:30 AM: Paused: Material run, after 1 hr 30 min worked

  • 10:00 AM: Resumed, after 30 min paused

  • 1:00 PM: Ended job, after 3 hr worked

Many People, One Job

Each team member gets their own row and their own time. Your job's total labor is everyone added together.

Example: Jessica logs 4 hr 15 min, Carlos logs 3 hr 30 min, and Mike logs 2 hr. The job's total labor is 9 hr 45 min.

The Overlap Notice

If someone's timer ran on another job at the same time, a blue notice appears above the table: Some of this time was also logged against another job at the same time. It tells you how many sessions overlapped, so you can check them.
