Template Settings in WIZniche

Learn how to create reusable email and SMS templates with smart placeholders to speed up your communication and keep your branding consistent.

Why use Templates?

Templates save you time by pre-writing your most common messages. Instead of typing the same email 50 times, you create one Template with smart "variables" (like the customer's name). When you send it, WIZniche automatically fills in the blanks.

Step 1: Access the Templates Library

  1. Click on your Avatar in the top right corner of the dashboard.

  2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.

  3. Scroll down to the Communication section.

  4. Click on Templates.

  5. You will see a list of your existing templates showing the Name, Type (Text/Email), and Creation Date.

Step 2: Create a New Template

  1. Click the blue Create Template button in the top right corner.

  2. Action Type: Choose whether this is for Email or Text (SMS).

  3. Template Name: Give it a clear internal name (e.g., "Quote Follow-up - Day 3").

Step 3: Writing Your Content

The content editor changes slightly depending on the type of message you selected.

For Email Templates

  • Subject Line: This is what the customer sees in their inbox header.

  • Preheader: This is the short summary text displayed next to or under the subject line in most email apps (like Gmail or Outlook). Use this to grab attention (e.g., "Don't miss out on your quote...").

  • Content: Write your full message body here.

  • Formatting: You can use standard formatting like bold, italics, or lists.

For Text (SMS) Templates

  • Content: Type your message directly.

  • Opt-Out Compliance: We highly recommend checking the box "Include default opt out text" (e.g., "Reply STOP to unsubscribe") to comply with SMS regulations.

Step 4: Using Smart Placeholders (Variables)

You don't want to type the customer's name manually every time. WIZniche uses Placeholders (variables) to do this for you.

  • How to use: While typing your message, you can insert dynamic fields.

  • Common Examples:

    • {Contact Name} β†’ Becomes "John Smith"

    • {Company Name} β†’ Becomes "WIZniche Services"

    • {Quote Link} β†’ Becomes the clickable URL to their specific quote.

Preview: As you type, check the Preview Panel on the right side of the screen. It shows you exactly how the message will look to your customer.

Step 5: Save

Once you are happy with the preview, click Create Template (or Save) in the bottom right corner. Your new template is now ready to be used in Automations or manual messages.
