There are three ways to start a project: from the Projects page, from an approved quote, or from a won deal. Pick whichever fits where you are in your work.
Way 1: From the Projects Page
Click Projects in the sidebar.
Click the blue Add New Project button.
Fill in the project details (listed below).
Click Save as Draft. Your new project opens.
Project details:
Project Name: Required. Give it a name your team will recognize.
Project ID: Optional. Add your own reference number if you use one.
Customer: Search for an existing customer or create a new one. Check Send so this person gets project emails. Use Paid By to mark who is responsible for paying.
+ Customer: Add more people to the same project.
Enter Email(s): Add extra email addresses to copy.
Project Location: Pick an existing property or create a new one.
Tags: Click + to add tags.
Project Lead: Choose a team member to be in charge.
Start and End: Required. Pick the dates the project runs.
Total Amount: Your starting estimate. WIZniche keeps it up to date as quotes get approved and change orders come in.
Example: You expect a roof replacement to cost about $12,000, so you enter $12,000 as the Total Amount. As the customer approves quotes, the project updates the totals for you.
Way 2: By Converting a Quote
Open any existing quote.
Click Actions, then Convert to Project.
A message asks if you want to continue. Click Confirm.
WIZniche creates the project, and the quote's approved amount becomes the project's contract price.
Way 3: From a Deal
Open any deal.
Next to the buttons for creating a quote, invoice, job, or assessment, click + Project.
The project is created right away, named after the customer, and the deal's amount becomes the project's total amount. You stay on the deal. The + Project button changes to Project, so click it whenever you want to open the project.
