Catalog: Setting Up Inventory Categories

The first step to a localized Catalog in WIZniche is creating the structural categories that hold your items. This guide covers how to access the Catalog and create your first category.

Step 1: Navigating to the Catalog Page

  1. Access the Sidebar: Locate and expand the Inventory dropdown on the left side of your screen.

  2. Select Catalog: Click on Catalog to open the management page.

    • Note: When you first access this page, it might be empty, indicating that you need to add items and categories.

Step 2: Adding New Inventory Categories

  1. Click on Add New: In the top right corner, click the button labeled Add New.

  2. Select Inventory Category: From the drop-down options, choose Inventory Category. This action will open a pop-up form.

Step 3: Category Details

Fill in the basic identification for this group of items:

  • Name: Enter the name of the inventory category (e.g., "Plumbing Supplies" or "Electrical Parts").

  • Upload Image: Click the placeholder to browse and upload a representative image for the category.

  • Save: Click Save to create the category. You can now open this folder to begin adding specific items.
