Tasks in WIZniche

Updated over 4 months ago

What it is

The Tasks feature in WIZniche helps you and your team stay organized and on top of responsibilities. From the dashboard, you can create, assign, and track tasks in real time without needing to leave the platform.

What it does

Tasks allow you to:

  • View all upcoming, past due, and completed tasks from a single sidebar.

  • Create new tasks with titles, descriptions, due dates, and assignees.

  • Assign tasks to employees so they can see and manage them in their own dashboards.

  • Track task progress as they are marked done, overdue, or completed.

This ensures accountability, improves collaboration, and helps teams stay aligned on daily activities.

How it works

  1. Accessing Tasks

    • From the dashboard, click on the clipboard icon (Tasks button) located in the sticky header.

    • A task sidebar will open, displaying three sections:

      • Upcoming – tasks scheduled but not yet due.

      • Past Due – tasks that were not completed before their due date.

      • Completed – tasks that have been finished and marked done.

  2. Creating a Task

    • Click the + New button in the sidebar.

    • Enter a title for the task.

    • Add an optional description to provide more detail.

    • Select a due date using the calendar picker.

    • Assign the task to an employee using the assignee dropdown (all employees are listed).

  3. Managing Tasks

    • Assignees will see tasks in their sidebar.

    • Tasks can be edited or deleted if needed.

    • Once completed, the assignee (or creator) can mark the task as done using the checkmark.

    • Completed tasks move to the Completed section.

    • If the due date passes without completion, the task automatically shifts to Past Due.

When to use it

  • To assign day-to-day responsibilities (e.g., call a client, follow up on an invoice).

  • To ensure accountability for team members across different roles.

  • To track important deadlines and prevent overdue work.

  • To keep a simple, centralized log of what needs to be done without relying on external tools.

Tip: Because the Tasks button is always available in the sticky header, you can quickly create or review tasks from anywhere in the platform, ensuring your team never misses a deadline.
