Equipments: Adding Equipment Items

Once your categories are set, you can populate them with your actual assets. This guide details every field required to add a specific piece of equipment to your inventory, including tracking costs, serial numbers, and maintenance schedules.

Navigating to the Equipment Page

  1. Access the Sidebar: Locate the sidebar on the left side of your screen.

  2. Select Equipments: Click on the "Equipments" option from the sidebar. This will bring you to the Equipment industries page.


Step 1: Adding a New Item

  1. Navigate to Equipment Category: Select the category where this item belongs (e.g., click into "Drills").

  2. Click on Add New: Click the button and choose Equipment Item from the drop-down menu.


Step 2: Filling in Item Details

Complete the form with the necessary details to ensure accurate tracking:

  • Image: Upload a photo of the specific item.

  • Equipment Industry & Category: Ensure these match the correct folder.

  • Item Name: Enter the name of the tool/asset.

  • Manufacturer: Enter the brand or manufacturer details.

  • Make & Model: Specify the make and the specific model number.

  • Cost: Enter the purchase price of the item.

  • Cost Frequency: Specify how often this cost is incurred (e.g., one-time purchase, monthly lease).

  • Calibration Date: If applicable, enter the last or next calibration date.

  • Serial Number: Enter the unique serial number for identification.

  • Assignee: Select the team member responsible for this item.


Step 3: Status & Visibility Options

You can set specific flags for the item before saving:

  • Out of Service: Check this if the equipment is temporarily non-operational due to maintenance or repairs.

  • Unavailable: Check this if the equipment is not accessible (e.g., reserved for another job or in transit).

  • Display in Job View: Enable this to allow the item to be seen and selected when creating client appointments.


Step 4: Save

Click Save to add the asset. It will now be listed in the table displaying its status and assigned property.
