How to Manage Equipment in WIZniche

Effective equipment management is essential for the smooth operation of any business. This guide will walk you through the process of managing your equipment using WIZniche.

Navigating to the Equipment Page

  1. Access the Sidebar: Locate the sidebar on the left side of your screen.

  2. Select Equipments: Click on the "Equipments" option from the sidebar. This will bring you to the Equipment industries page.

Adding a New Equipment Industry

  1. Click on Add New: In the top right corner of the Equipment industries page, click on the "Add New" button. A drop-down menu will appear.

  2. Select Equipment Industry: Choose "Equipment Industry" from the drop-down options. A pop-up form will appear with pre-populated popular industries in a checklist format.

  3. Select or Add Custom Industry:

    • Select from the List: Check the box next to any pre-populated industry that applies.

    • Add Custom Industry: Click on the "Add Custom Industry" button, enter the custom industry name in the pop-up that appears, and save it.

  4. Save and Close: Once you have selected or added an industry, click "Save" to create the industry. This will now be listed on the Equipment industries page.

Adding a New Equipment Category

  1. Navigate to Equipment Industry: Click on the industry you just created. If no categories are present, you will see a message stating, "This industry currently has no categories."

  2. Click on Add New: Click the "Add New" button again and select "Equipment Category" from the drop-down menu. A pop-up form will appear.

  3. Select Equipment Industry: From the drop-down menu in the pop-up, select the Equipment industry you want to categorize.

  4. Enter Category Details: Fill in the following fields:

    • Category Name: Enter the name of the Equipment category.

    • Image: Optionally, add an image to represent the category.

  5. Save Category: Click "Save" to add the category. You can now view it under the respective Equipment industry.

Adding a New Equipment Item

  1. Navigate to Equipment Category: Select the category you just created. You will see a table displaying fields such as name, status, and assigned property.

  2. Click on Add New: Click the "Add New" button and choose "Equipment Item" from the drop-down menu. A form will appear.

  3. Fill in Equipment Item Details: Complete the form with the necessary details:

  • Image: Upload an image of the Equipment item.

  • Equipment Industry: Select the industry to which this item belongs.

  • Equipment Category: Select the appropriate category from the drop-down.

  • Item Name: Enter the name of the Equipment item.

  • Manufacturer: Enter the manufacturer details.

  • Make: Specify the make of the item.

  • Model: Provide the model number.

  • Cost: Enter the cost of the item.

  • Cost Frequency: Specify how often this cost is incurred (e.g., one-time, monthly).

  • Calibration Date: If applicable, enter the calibration date.

  • Serial Number: Enter the serial number of the item.

  • Assignee: Select the team member responsible for the item.

  1. Additional Options: You can enable options such as "Display in Appointment View," which allows the item to be displayed when creating appointments.

  2. Additional Options: The Out of Service option indicates that an Equipment is temporarily non-operational due to maintenance or repairs. The Unavailable option shows that an Equipment is not currently accessible for use, such as being reserved or in transit.

  3. Save Equipment Item: Click "Save" to add the asset item. It will now be listed under the selected Equipment category.

Managing Your Equipment

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage your equipment within your business. The structured approach of categorizing Equipment by industry and category ensures that you can quickly locate and manage your equipment inventory. The system allows you to filter assets based on various statuses like availability, service status, and assigned personnel.
