A Running Trail, Not Just a Status
Everything the customer does on a Tiered Quote is recorded as a running activity trail on the proposal, so you can see what happened and when — not just where things currently stand. This is what tells you whether to follow up, and why.
What Gets Logged
Opening the link — logged as Proposal viewed, with a running count for each later view.
Swiping through and picking a package — logged as, for example, Selected "Better".
Adding or removing add-ons — logged with what was added or removed.
Approving and signing — logged with the signer's name and timestamp.
The deposit clearing.
Booking a time.
When a Package Is Chosen
The log also records what happened to the other two packages — for example, "Customer selected Better; Good and Best were closed" — so it's clear later why two packages are no longer live. See How Unselected Packages Are Handled.
Stage at a Glance
Alongside the log, the proposal's card shows its current stage: Viewed → Package selected → Approved → Deposit paid → Scheduled.
Notifications
You get notified on these same events, so you don't have to go looking. Viewing only notifies you the first time — a customer re-reading the proposal five times won't send five alerts — but every view is still counted in the log.
